In California all online courses are certified on a Court-by-Court basis. We are approved by all major California Courts and our website is specifically designed to ask you which Court you received your ticket from and only then to offer you the course formats approved by that Court.
Our typical course consists of 10 easy modules which you complete at your own pace.
You start with a short video, read supporting text, take a simple quiz on material covered. You can also print your text materials to review later or during the quiz.
Some jurisdictions may require that you spend a minimum time on the course prior to taking the quiz.

Since all final quiz questions are covered in the course and supporting bullet review sections, less than 0.5% of our students don't pass it on the first try.
However, in the event you miss it on the first try we offer unlimited re-takes. You can always go back and review missed material.
Most students just need to take the 8 hour class unless you were specifically directed to take more. Some students are Court ordered to take 12 or 16 hours of traffic school. Our home study course, if approved by your court, meets the 400 minute instruction criteria. A few of the Courts in CA have also approved our Level II course.
If you are not sure which course to take, please check with the Court.
As long as you complete on or before due date, most courts will provide you with a few extra days grace period to submit your certificate of completion.
Depending on your court's completion requirements we may be able to transmit a certificate on your behalf by next business day. If your court requires you to submit an original certificate, we recommend that you select an overnight delivery option at registration.
The course is designed for a 5th Grade comprehension level. Our goal is to provide you with a fun, simple and effective course that is very easy to complete.
In California Vehicle Code Section 42005 prohibits drivers with class A, class B and commercial class C drivers license holders from attending traffic violator school for the purpose of dismissing and suppressing traffic violations from a driving record. You can still take our course if you are ordered by a judge but points will still appear on your driving record.
The DVD is course is easy – Just pop the DVD in, grab some popcorn and sit back! We are the only DVD course that's taught by a comedian. You will have fun while learning to be a better driver ...and it's easy!
But before you order it please make sure that your Court has approved our home study video course. If you are not sure, our web site will guide you through the process. Once you select CA you will be asked which Court referred you. Only those course formats approved by that court are offered to you.
The exact configuration of your course depends on which Court referred you. In some cases you will have 2 DVDs; in some cases you will have both a quiz and an exam. Regardless, as you watch the DVDs the instructor will give you the answers to validation questions that you must mark on an answer sheet as you go along (this is how the Court is assured you watched the whole thing). Afterwards there will be a final quiz with multiple choice and true or false questions.
Once you have completed the course and filled out the final quiz/validation form you simply mail it all back to us. We process your completion approximately 1 business day after receiving your package.
Reporting requirements greatly vary from court to court. We will provide you with detailed instructions for your court once you sign up for the course.
For example, if you are an LA County we fax a copy of your certificate directly to the Court on your behalf. However, a San Diego County requires that you return an original certificate directly to the court, which can be done by certified mail.
We strongly suggest that you check with your court to make sure that the proper credit was posted against your case. Many courts would allow you to do this online or otherwise you would have to call the court.
We recommend that you wait at least 10 days after your completion before checking with the court, to allow proper processing time.

Please make sure to include your full name, DL number, approximate date/month when you completed the course and what jurisdiction you were referred by.
Two key things need to happen before we can issue a certificate of completion. Did you take the final Quiz? Was the payment made?
If you answered "Yes" to both of those questions, then your certificate is probably in the mail. If you opted to have it emailed to you, then you should check your spam filter/Junk e-mail folder. The certificate is an attachment and some overzealous spam filters might have blocked our very important email to you. If your certificate was mailed it might just be in transit. If you still don't have your certificate within 10 days, please email us at support@MyImprov.com.
